Feeling overwhelmed comes in different forms such as anger, feeling out of your depth, thought process (worry, doubt, crying), but the most common form of being overwhelmed is the feeling of anxiety. Having to do everything yourself and learning as much as possible in a small amount of time. Don’t feel alone as it only happens to the best of us. Fortunately, there is hope. Here are a few tips on how to deal with it.

ACCEPT YOUR ANXIETY

However, fighting your anxiety will not help you to overcome the feeling. It’s normal to experience some anxiety at some points in your life. Accepting the feeling will help you overcome it so much quicker.

The thought of unpredictability, uncontrollability and having to do everything yourself are the backbone of feeling overwhelmed. It is essential to be mindful of our thoughts because this is what sparks our stress hormones. Learn to think positively, even if you are in the middle of the deep blue sea. For instance, you want to start a small online business and you are faced with the reality of learning as much as possible in a small amount of time and having to do everything yourself. This could lead you fast to anxiety. By learning to control your thoughts, you can take charge of your emotions as well. CHANGE YOUR MULTI-TASKING ATTITUDE

You are multi-tasking when you try to do everything at once. Having to do everything yourself while starting a small online business can lift your stress sense and make us feel drained sooner than we ought to be. Take 75-minute time block, within these 25 minutes have laser focus and intention. This is called the Pomodoro method. Having a timing method and having intention can keep your anxiety levels low and keep them under control.
